When someone is in a situation to benefit from a person who wishes to apply the Golden Rule on their behalf, they not only have the right to expect privacy and confidentiality…but the preservation of personal dignity.

No information (especially contact information and Social Security numbers) about any participant in For The Family will be given for marketing purposes or any other commercial endeavor.

Each For The Family service is confidential. This confidentiality specifically applies to Enrollment Form information submitted by participants in the Family Referral Network (e.g. the Parental, Motherhood, and Community Mentoring Initiatives), as well as in Shelter Is Golden. Confidentiality will also be maintained when consulting with outside sources to determine whether additional services can benefit Family Referral Network Associates.

The only exceptions are when someone is in imminent physical danger, is a threat or an imminent danger to themselves and/or others, or when a violation of law related to these factors is involved. Disclosures of other legal transgressions (e.g. substance abuse) will remain confidential as long as they do not place that person or others in imminent physical danger.
