We're All Tested in Our Own Way

Everybody knows what tough times are like.  They hit when you least expect them, and can do a lot of damage along the way.

Tough times may have hit you hard, but your ability to fight back is nothing to sneeze at.  In fact, your courage in the battle of life (single parenting is just one of a million examples) has taught you lessons that can pull someone else through. 

Maybe that’s why you went through hell…or heck…or even a small dose of gee whiz.

If you think it’s possible, then consider how easy it is to be a Mentor in the Family Referral Network. You can create happy endings from anywhere with a long-distance calling plan!

• You only need to spend an hour per week on the telephone from the comfort of home
• The person you mentor is going through stuff that you can relate to, but it isn’t too serious
• You make every call according to your schedule; they can never call without your consent
• The person you mentor only knows you by first name (and vice-versa)
• You know what they’re going through in advance; they know what you bring to the table
• We’re there if the conversation goes off track, and have access to professional mental health expertise if necessary
• Your dialogue only lasts as long as you think it’s doing any good
• All information is totally confidential
