AdvocacyChildren’s Board of Hillsborough CountyWe provide financial and technical assistance derived from local property tax revenues to non-profit agencies that serve families in Hillsborough County, Florida. While our primary focus is on children between 0-8, we also advocate on behalf of children and family interests that cover a much wider spectrum. Note: this site also provides easy access to a wide range of local services. Children’s Defense FundWe provide a strong, effective voice for all the children in America who cannot vote, lobby, or speak for themselves. The CDF pays particular attention to the needs of poor and minority children, and those with disabilities. Our mission is to help children successfully pass into adulthood with the help of caring families and communities Generations UnitedWe act as a catalyst for stimulating collaboration between aging, children, and youth organizations. Our goal is to improve the lives of children, youth, and older people through this collaboration, programs, and public policies. GU represents more than 100 organizations and individuals that serve the interests of more than 70 million Americans. |
